What You'll Own

As the Head of AI, you'll spearhead AI research, strategy, architecture, and implementation from the ground up. This role is highly hands-onespecially during the first yearas you build scalable, real-time AI solutions that seamlessly integrate into healthcare workflows.

• Collaborate directly with the CTO and co-founders to shape AI strategy and execution.

• Own AI development end-to-end, from initial research through deployment into production.

• Architect and optimize cutting-edge LLM integrations, prioritizing performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Drive AI-powered automation across electronic health records (EHR), voice assistants, and clinical decision support systems.

• Work closely with DevOps and cloud infrastructure partners to scale the AI platform effectively.

• Experiment, fine-tune, and optimize advanced LLM models (OpenAI, Together.ai, LLaMA).

• Identify and resolve AI and ML scalability bottlenecks in real-time environments.

• Recruit, build, and mentor a stellar team of AI engineers as the organization scales.

• Align AI capabilities strategically to accelerate business growth and revenue.

Who You Are

You're an innovative, entrepreneurial AI leader with a strong technical backbone, ready to take full ownership and drive immediate impact.

• Recognized expert in Generative AI (GenAI) with comprehensive experience across research, modeling, engineering, and production deployment.

• Prior founder, co-founder, or early-stage AI leader (sub-20 employees), comfortable navigating fast-paced, high-ownership environments.

• Proven track record designing, building, and deploying GenAI products end-to-end.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, fine-tuning techniques, and AI/ML APIs such as OpenAI, Together.ai, or LLaMA.

• Strong backend and cloud infrastructure skills (Node.js, Python, Firestore DB, Google Cloud Platform).

• Experience optimizing performance and scalability of AI systems in production.

• Healthcare or EHR integration experience (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) is highly valued but not mandatory.
